Superman: The Golden Age: Volume 1 Review
Format: Paperback
If youāre a fan of, or are interested in the Golden Age of comics, this book is for you. This is really the mainstream beginning of superhero comics. Before everything became mired in continuity, there were one-shot stories that were fun, and often dark. I definitely also recommend this for people who want to get into Superman as a character. For the price, the amount of content you get just canāt be beat.

Amazing first issue
Format: Kindle
Iāve been a huge fan of Spencer Ackerman since his reporting days, his incredible book āReign of Terrorā and his DC comics work on Waller vs Wildstorm. Now Iām so excited to see him writing for Marvel. I canāt wait to see all the political intrigue and social commentary heās going to weave into this story!

Childhood fans of Michelinie Iron Man and Mantlo Hulk are creating this
Format: Kindle
So. It's adult, real-world based, and suspenseful. As a child I could afford only to buy a few comics a month with the little.money I earned. Mantlo Hulk and Michelinie/Layton Iron Man were two of the five or six comics I bought. So glad I took a chance on checking this out. Looks like I will be reading a current series this year.
A lot happens in just this one issue, both mental sparring and physical bang-ups. Nice blend of food for thought and eye candy. I'm excited for the rest of the series.

Takinā Care Of Business!
Format: Kindle
While I thoroughly enjoyed the previous run of Iron Man, a comic I stay at least in the know as best as I can, I have a feeling that this is going to be even better.

Getting There
Format: Kindle
The letās take Starkās company plot is getting old, but at least this time theyāre showing that Tony Stark ās major asset is his intellect. Still leaning too much into the Stark is an alcoholic canon, which even the writers of that arc admit was a mistake that they hadnāt thought out fully; a mistake that sucked the fun out of Invincible Iron Man for decades until Robert Downey Jr portrayed the character on the big screen, and writers on the comic started to write Stark to resemble the character as originally written.
I do not like the art design on Tony Stark on this run at all. The feeble Howard Hughes look doesnāt fit Tony Stark at all, but if the story gets better, I can live with it. The art will change with the next team anyway. Ackerman seems to at least like Tony Stark and he seems to understand him; two things that were definitely not the case with Cantwell. Issue one didnāt put me off, and Iām invested enough to continue and see where it goes. At this stage with many Marvel titles thatās saying a lot.
